Exam
Korean Computer Literacy Level 1 exam overview
Plan for a 60-minute written test and a separate 90-minute practical test.
The two tests measure different skills
The written test covers computer fundamentals, spreadsheets and databases in 60 multiple-choice questions over 60 minutes. The practical test gives 45 minutes each for spreadsheet and database work.
Use the pass rules in your plan
Written candidates need at least 40 in every subject and an overall average of 60. Practical candidates need at least 70 in both spreadsheet and database sections.
Study knowledge and execution separately
Written preparation needs fast concept discrimination. Practical preparation needs reliable task order, file handling and recovery from errors in the specified software.
Check the applicable standard
The 2024–2026 specification applies through 2026. KCCI has also published the 2027–2029 standard, so candidates testing in 2027 should verify the effective version.
