Combine a complete rehearsal, centre checks and a manageable revision list before assessment day.

Confirm the current arrangements
Check the assessment date, location or online joining instructions, required materials and any approved adjustment with the centre. Use the specification currently linked by ESB rather than an old downloaded copy.
Run a complete rehearsal
Include presentation, discussion, literary work and questions with real listeners. Ask the listeners to note one point they understood clearly and one point that needed clarification, then make a focused revision.
Reduce the revision list
Choose a small set of changes that materially improves the argument or communication. Rewriting everything at the last moment can leave less time to practise listening and responding naturally.
Keep fees and results separate from app access
The current ESB fee page lists £62 per Grade 8 learner for academic year 2026–27, with centre arrangements to confirm. An app purchase does not pay an ESB fee, book an assessment or guarantee a result.
